Packaging

Following the principle of 3R’s while selecting packing materials – Reduce, Recycle and Reuse, we have used minimal packaging with bio degradable products which do not  destroy our planet and contributes to a healthy eco system.

Hangtags

We realize that hangtags contribute to 100% wastage when an item is purchased. Addressing this problem, we partnered with a company who believes in our mission - www.custompaper.com

The hangtags are handmade items made from 100% post industrial waste and are 100% tree free, acid free fiber. Embedded in these  are a unique blend of North American wildflowers which grow well in almost all weather conditions in the USA. The seeds include Snap dragon, Petunia, Beardtongue, Daisy, Thyme, Poppy, Foxglove, Catchfly, Maiden pinks, Chamomile. So, you get a plant for every item you purchase at Mehisha Eco!

SPROUTING TIPS – Though this method is recommended, we do not take responsibility if the flowers do not bloom as the we cannot ensure proper steps have been followed .

  1. Take this tag (of our made in the USA paper) and place it into an airtight zip lock plastic sandwich bag, place a tablespoon of water (or enough to fully saturate the paper) in the bag and then seal the bag and trap a bit of air inside it so it forms a bubble to keep both sides of the bag from touching.

  2. If you do this in a room that is has an ambient temperature of at least 72 degrees and allow the bag to be touched by sunlight for a few hours each day. You will see evidence of the seeds growth within 10 days time.

  3. Once you see the sprout's roots searching for soil, transfer the paper from the bag into a pot (or garden) with a light covering of soil about 1/4" is recommended. Keep moist and continue nursing the seedlings along by daily watering.

Crepe Paper

Based on volume, paper is the largest element in American landfills. Normally, it takes two to six weeks in a landfill to get completely decomposed. Recycling paper items saves a lot of landfill space while also reducing the energy and virgin material usage demanded by making non-recycled paper. The regular tissue papers we use for packaging are normally thrown away after 1 time use since they crinkle very easily. We have used crepe paper which is lot more sturdy and we can re-use it for DIY projects, get togethers as well as birthday and reunion parties.

For your convenience, we have created 2 beautiful Crepe Flower DIY Kits giving the crepe paper used for t shirt packaging a "new life". We repurpose everything. They are affordable, fun, easy and eco friendly.

Corrugated boxes

Not only is corrugated packaging easily recyclable and renewable, but it can also be reused as is, helping to further reduce packaging costs and the environmental impact. Our corrugated case styles are designed to be easily collapsible, and fully reusable. They can be used for a number of DIY projects as well.
